He was born June 10,1945 to Serafin and Carmen (Velasquez) Maskill in Ozona, Texas. Serafin came to Sweetwater 30 years ago from Lamesa, Texas. He is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and loved music and working in the yard.
He is survived by his sisters, Carmen Soto of Sweetwater, Connie Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas and Florencia Carrasco of Coleman, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Serafin is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gregorio Maskill and a sister Anita Martinez.
Christian graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 1,2025 at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Father Josh Gray officiating. Interment will follow. McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The pallbearers are Anthony Soto, Andrew Soto, Stephen Campa, Cruz Reyes, Jeremiah Haden and Ryan Hernandez.
