It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharkey Abbes Baz, 1933-2025. To everyone who knew him he is one of Americas greatest heroes. A silent warrior who has been called by his King to stand on the front lines of the last great battle in eternity that will defeat all evil once and for all. He lived more than most men would in ten lifetimes and set the example of what God intended real men to be. He retired from a military career as a Major in the United States Army and moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1975 where he owned and operated Tires Unlimited, Inc. in Winter Haven, Florida. He was a pilot and flight instructor. He received the Wright Brothers Award for fifty years plus of flying without any incident and is honored in the FAA Building in Washington, D.C. He is survived by his wife May Baz, his daughter Neseebe Baz Denney, his son Bazzel Baz, his granddaughters Alicia Cozort and Courtnee Denney, his great granddaughters Amelia and Emmalyn Cozort and many patriots of this great nation who knew him well. Sharkey Baz will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery on July 28, 2025. Please contact [email protected] if you wish to RSVP to attend.
