Sharon K. Schenherr, age 84, of Gravois Mills, passed away July 13, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born April 15, 1941, in Savannah, Missouri, daughter of the late James Otto and Cora (Hines) Breit.
On May 14, 1960, at St. Ann's in Independence, she was united in marriage to her surviving husband, Robert J. Schenherr.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1000 in Independence. Sharon will be remembered for her kind heart and love for the simple joys in life. She especially enjoyed crocheting and fishing, pastimes that brought her peace and allowed her to share her creativity and patience with others.
Sharon was an avid sports fan. She and Bob were longtime season ticket holders for the Kansas City Chiefs and also enjoyed the Kansas City Royals. They never missed a game on television. Sunday afternoons and summer evenings were sacred, reserved for watching the teams they loved with unwavering loyalty.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her daughters, Wendi Raulie and husband Robert of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Robin Schenherr of Independence, Missouri; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Edwin Breit.
A private family service will be held.
