Roy Walston Obituary

Roy Junior "Bones" Walston age 60, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Roy was born in Dalton, GA, on May 13, 1965, the son of Elsie Ruth Hawkins Walston and the late Roy Douglas Walston. He was a supervisor for Tony Walston Roofing. Roy enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his former loving wife and caretaker, Tilly Walston; son, Jason Walston (Brittany Cross); two grandchildren, Brent Walston and Riley Walston; two brothers, Tony Walston (Lindia) and Steve Hawkins (Melissa); two sisters, Vickie Womack (Richard) and Tammy Bennett (Heath); and an extra special great-great-niece, Leighton Walston. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, July 21, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., the Chapel of the Dalton Funeral Home with Earl Bartley officiating. Interment will follow at Dawnville Community Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at Dalton Funeral Home.
