Shaun Roy Jeffries, age 47, of Hermitage, TN was born on July 10th, 1978, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He spent his early childhood there before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado and then to Armstrong, Iowa where he graduated from Armstrong-Ringsted High School. In Iowa, he was known for his kind words, athleticism on the basketball court, and his unique talent for fixing/building nearly anything he put his mind to. As an adult, he joined his family in Nashville, Tennessee for a fresh start and an opportunity to build his career. While he was a talented salesman and excelled working in a corporate environment, Shaun missed working with his hands and left the corporate world to chase his dreams of building a career working outside near the water. In his words, “I am not spending the rest of my life sitting in an office. The phone is like a leash and it’s not for me.”
For the last 21 years, Shaun managed The Marina at Nashville Shores, where he made a lasting impact through his leadership and vision of building a safe and thriving boating community on J. Percy Priest Lake. Outside of work, Shaun was a dedicated father, and he would be the first to tell you that his greatest accomplishment in life was raising his daughter Addison and son Miles. Many evenings were spent with family grilling, fishing, watching Steelers football, and challenging all comers to various competitions. He took great pride in “the old man teaching lessons” when it came to playing Playstation and board games. As a friend, he was well known in the Hermitage community for his humor and kindness, his love of playing pool, throwing darts, and for singing karaoke. Shaun was loved by many. He had gift for never meeting a stranger and for making everyone in his orbit feel special. His passion and zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
On August 10th, 2025, Shaun passed away surrounded by his family, his close friends Ty and Ashley Key, and his girlfriend Victoria Taylor.
