Shaun Michael Larson
November 30, 1978 -- March 20, 2025
Shaun Michael Larson 46, unexpectedly returned to his Heavenly Father March 20, 2025. Shaun was born in Mesa Arizona to Donna Wood and Terry Larson. He was joined by three little brothers, Scott, David and Kristopher. Shaun and his family moved to several towns in Arizona for his dad’s employment and education pursuits.
Shaun loved scouting and when he was 12 his dad being the scoutmaster, they went together on many campouts and scout camps. He earned over 40 merit badges and nearly completed his Eagle Scout Badge. On one such camp out to Slide Rock in Oak Creek Canyon, he suffered a bad fall and head injury which led to many serious seizures for over 10 years. Shaun had many obstacles in his life to overcome but he had an indomitable spirit and overcame many challenges even when doctors and others said he would never be able to.
Shaun was a loving and kind person who loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When he moved to Utah to live with his dad, Terry and step-mom, Crystal, he worked diligently to go to the temple. He also achieved his diploma from Manti High School Adult Education and completed his first semester at Snow College.
Shaun was truly a great man, full of integrity, honesty and enjoyed discussions of politics, last day and gospel subjects. He loved learning truth and helping out whenever he could, often walking the neighbors dogs, fixing computer, TV and phone issues many times for others. He cared and loved deeply. He truly loved his Lord Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven and often said, “We must focus on Christ, not all the other things in the world.” He will be greatly missed!
Shaun is survived by his father, Terry Larson, Ephraim, Utah; mother, Donna Wood, Tucson, Arizona; brothers, Scott Larson and nephew Aiden of Tucson; David Larson of Seattle and Kristopher Larson of San Diego.
Cremation will take place in the Magleby Mortuary and Cremation Center. Memorial services will be held March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Ephraim Chapel located at 450 North 200 West, Ephraim, Utah. There will be a visitation at 10:15 a.m.
