Shawna Vogel Obituary
Shawna Ann Vogel, 63, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away at her home July 30th, 2025.
She was born on September 14th, 1961, to Brayton and Karen Davis. She grew up in Denver and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1978. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado beginning a lifelong career of compassion and service.
Shawna devoted over 40 years of her professional life to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Colorado Hospital. Her skill, dedication, and gentle care touched countless families during their most difficult moments.
Beyond her career Shawna’s greatest joy was her family and her love of animals. She was preceded in death by her son, Tyler, and her father, Brayton Davis. She is survived by her son, Brian Vogel, and daughter-in-law, Cassie Vogel; mother Karen Davis, stepfather Kent Sebern; her brother Michael, and sister-in-law Lisa Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 beginning at 1:00pm, at The Grant Ranch Village Center, 7255 W. Grant Ranch Blvd., Littleton, Colorado.
Shawna will be remembered for her love of family, friends and the countless babies and families she cared for throughout her career.
