Sheila Beavers Cole, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 19th, 2025. Sheila is survived by her husband James, her brothers Terry & Greg, sisters-in-law Jan & Judy, brother-in-law Burley, her children Aaron & Cindy Cole (daughter Maggie), Paul & Elaine Phillips (sons Casey and Malloy, daughter Kalya), Ralph & Megan Phillips (daughters Ivey and Ellie), and four great grandchildren. Sheila was a light, an inspiration, and a source of strength for her friends, family and community.
Sheila was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Sheila retired from the US Postal Service after 24 years. She regularly volunteered at the Hightower Baptist Food Bank for 16 years. Sheila was an avid hiker who loved the outdoors. She hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail. Sheila was also active in many outdoor community groups, as well as the Falcon Club of Georgia.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel in Cumming, Georgia starting at 12pm, with a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 pm. A reception for friends and family will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hightower Baptist Food and Clothing Bank: hbafoodbank.org
