Sheila Brown Harmon, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2025, in Asheville, NC. She was also a longtime resident of Simpsonville, SC.
Sheila was born on November 20, 1944, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Orin G. and Marian Curtis Brown. She was a 1966 graduate of Florida State University where she majored in Art. She was an avid FSU Seminole fan but also became a Clemson Tiger fan after her daughter graduated from Clemson University. Sheila was the Executive Director of the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce from 1981 until 1999. She oversaw a Labor Day festival that attracted 4,000 people in 1981 to approximately 60,000 at the end of her tenure. Sheila was a strong Christian believer and shared Jesus with everybody she met. She also enjoyed painting and scrapbooking. Sheila loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Marston C. Brown.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tracy Lynn Harmon Cope and her husband Chris; granddaughter Rachel Cope; brother Stephen "Bud" Brown and his wife Leslie Renee; sister-in-law Carole Brown; nieces Sherry Wilson and Sandy Everett; great nieces, great nephews, and special friends.
