Shellie Rae DeNoya, 73, of Ponca City, OK, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Friday, July 31, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. A Prayer Service/Viewing will take place between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Community Church in Marland, OK. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Community Church, followed by luncheon at noon. The Graveside Ceremony will be held at 1:30 pm. at Burbank Cemetery, Burbank, OK, with Pastor Chris Short officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Shellie was born on Saturday, August 18, 1951, in Sioux City, IA, to Clarence Clyde and Marie Anna Lena (Dethlefs) Etchison. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, IA, in 1970. Shellie married James Edward DeNoya, Jr. in Miami, OK, on March 20, 1987. Shellie worked many years in customer service. She found joy in helping others. Shellie loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed golf cart rides, baking, decorating for the holidays, and family gatherings.

Shellie is survived by: her husband, James "Jamey" DeNoya, of the home; daughters, Gina (Bryant) Hearon of Ponca City, OK, Lynn (Thong) Vouthilak of Des Moines, IA, Tatum Ipsen (Jeremy Laube) of Ellsworth, IA; son, Zachary DeNoya of Hutchinson, KS; step-children, Brandon DeNoya of McCloud, OK, Carrie Hatfield of TX, Crista DeNoya of Texas; grandchildren, Landen Schmidt, Emma Schmidt, Sheldon DeNoya, Tanna Hearon, Violet DeNoya; sister, Marliss Stading of Ponca NE; brother, Robert (Julie Ann) Etchison of Burlington, IA, Mark (Peggy) Etchison of Eagan, MN; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends. Shellie is preceded in death by: parents, Clarence "Jap" and Marie Etchison; brother, Wyland Etchison; sisters, Mardeen Wood, Edith Chester, Clarrene Leffler; and granddaughter, Breaira Hearon.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Laube, Landen Schmidt, Heston Riddle, John Bryant, Jason Etchison, Myles Martin, Matthew Norris and Todd Jacobson.
