Shirley June Baldock, 90, of Canton, passed away at 8:25 AM on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at The Loft in Canton, IL. She was born on July 30, 1934 in Canton, IL, to Richard and Maggie (Hodson) Hedge. She married Richard Lee Baldock on June 3, 1951 in Canton, IL. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2013.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patti Federmeyer; one grandson, Shane Federmeyer; four brothers, Lyle Hedge, Bill Hedge, Lawrence "Pete" Hedge, and Jimmy Fulton; and two sisters, Mattie Bixby and Faye Wilkinson.
She is survived by two children, Deborah (the late Randy) Windsor of Canton, IL and Michael (LuAnn) Baldock of Edwards, IL; two grandchildren, Jason (Shelly) Windsor and Brittany (Aaron) Posey; three great-grandchildren, Leah Windsor, Malea Posey, and Sawyer Posey; and one sister, Janet (Donald) Dunn.
Shirley worked and retired from Ludlums grocery store in Canton, IL. She was a member of the Lakeland Community Church in Canton, IL. She enjoyed being outdoors at her flower garden. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Rev. Kevin Van Tine will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to Fulton County Humane Society or Lakeland Community Church in Canton, IL.
