Angela Tilton Obituary

Angela "Angie" Pauletta Tilton, 71, wife of Derrell Tilton, passed away on July 26, 2025 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. A daughter of the late Reverend Ned and Evelyn Long Russ, Angie was born on February 12, 1954, in Macon, Georgia. Her professional life included management. During her early years, Angie served as an Office Administrator for Gulf Oil in Atlanta, Georgia. Once relocating to South Carolina, Angie spent her time working beside her husband. Together they worked for Boyd Management and eventually retired to spend all of their time at each other's side. Outside of her work, Angie's life was devoted to her family. Angie had many pass times; however, among her favorite was spending quality time with her daughter. Together, they enjoyed shopping and getting their nails done. Another favorite was making memories with her husband in their kitchen cooking and baking. Angie's love for family and cooking was evident in the way that she made and shared her "special" chocolate chip cookies anytime that they were requested. Moments of family togetherness were the heart of her world. Angie is survived by her loving husband, Derrell; daughters Jessica (Andrew) Rhino, Devin (Perry) Smith, and Tabitha Tilton; grandchildren: Parker Walters, Ethan Smith, Emilie Smith, Ranesley Kozma, and Bryson Woods; great-grandchild, Sienna Thomas; and siblings Bishop Wesley Russ, Pastor Richard Russ, and Deanna Boone. In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by children Rob Rhino, Kelly Rhino, and Christy Rhino. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel located at 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, SC, 29554. Burial will be private.
