Shirley Ann Hunt, 90, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born on June 21, 1935, in Berryville, Arkansas, to Erma (Bingaman) and Tommie Edward Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Leroy Hunt, who passed away on November 15, 2003.
Shirley met Leroy at a Halloween hayride before he left to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his return, they were married on October 24, 1954, in Berryville. Together, they shared a passion for antique cars and enjoyed participating in car clubs and shows.
A dedicated member of the Community of Christ, Shirley found purpose in serving others through her faith.
She is survived by her children: Debbie Flora (Richard) of Springdale, Sandy Sprouse (Doug) of Springdale, and David Hunt (Marsha) of Gentry.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Kimberly Lewis, Matthew (Emily) Flora, Phillip (Kellie) Sprouse, Andy (Brandi) Sprouse, Bonnie (Nick) Fisher, Heather (Lathon) Williams, Talisa (Nathan) Otwell, and Melody (Levi) Smither; and her great-grandchildren: Adrianna Lewis; Korbin, Kolbie, Tucker, and Jed Sprouse; Paislee, Solomon, and Rosalee Sprouse; Ellis and Felix Fisher; Talan and Emmitt Williams; Oakley and MillieRose Otwell.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
