Sr. Noreen entered the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence on June 21, 1944, in Como, Italy, professing her First Vows on January 5, 1947. With a strong missionary spirit, Sr. Noreen volunteered for the Guanellian mission in the United States. Sacrificing family and country, she arrived at St. Mary of Providence, 4200 N. Sr. Noreen was cherished by those she served, her colleagues, her sisters, friends, and most of all, her family. She fondly spoke of her “nipoti e pronipoti” and her beloved hometown of “Buglio in Monte.” Sr. Noreen loved and was loved by all. She devoted her life to serving not only persons with developmental disabilities and the elderly but also their families, staff, sisters, novices, and all who knew her.
