Sonya M. Bonnett
Sonya Marie Livingston Bonnett, 74, of South Ogden, UT, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday July 16, 2025 in her home after a brief illness. Born April 12, 1951 in Pocatello, ID, she is the daughter of Fay and Alice Livingston.
Sonya moved to Pendleton OR when she was 9 years old and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1969.
She attended Brigham Young University for two years before moving to Washington D.C. to work as a secretary for the U.S. Marshals Service.
It was there that she met her late husband Michael Bonnett, whom she married on February 12, 1973 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Michael's career with Anheuser-Busch Inc. moved them to several locations around the country including Williamsburg, VA, Baldwinsville, NY, Fort Collins, CO, and Merrimack, NH.
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sonya often expressed her faith through music and teaching both at church and at home.
Along with her musical inclination for singing and piano, she was also an accomplished seamstress and cake decorator and was always collecting for a future craft project.
She never turned down an opportunity to travel with friends or hunt down a good bargain.
Sonya is survived by her daughter, Tonya M. Miller-Bearden (James Bearden, grandson Gavin Miller) of Ogden, UT, and her two sons, Jason M. Bonnett (Lindsey, grandson Boston and granddaughter Piper) of Stansbury Park, UT, and Kevin T. Bonnett (Suzanne) of Centennial, CO.
