Stanley I Miller, beloved husband of Claribel (Yoder) Miller, was born March 6, 1944, to Ivan & Beulah (Weaver) Miller at Kalona, Iowa.
He peacefully passed away on June 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by family at the age of 81 years, 3 months, & 13 days. He accepted Christ as his Savior & was baptized in his youth. He was a faithful member of the Living Hope Mennonite Church, Blue River, Wi. until his death.
On Dec. 10, 1964, he was united in marriage to Claribel Yoder daughter of Chester & Emma (Kaufman) Yoder, sharing the joys & sorrows of life together for over 60 years.
Surviving besides his wife are 8 children: Robert Miller Of Halfway MO, Beaulah & Maynard Eigsti of Halfway MO, Carla & Victor Kropf of Muscoda WI, Vaughn & Rhonda Miller of Buffalo MO, Violet & Jim Eigsti of Buffalo MO, Lovell & Lisa Miller of Lewisburg KY, Wava & Lyndon Kropf of Boscobel WI, LeIvan & Rachelle Miller of Paris TN, Daughter In-Law Grace Miller of Buffalo MO. 37 grandchildren, & 46 great-grandchildren, also 1 sister Dora & husband Mark Miller, Riverside, Iowa; & a very close cousin who was like a brother, Simon Weaver, Kalona, Iowa.
Preceding him in death are his parents Ivan & Beulah Miller, an infant stillborn daughter, Precious Jewell; 2 grandsons; Shandon Eigsti, infant Jax Avery Miller; 2 granddaughters; Brandi Kropf, & infant Makaya Jade Miller & 3 great-grands, Serenity Hostetler, Paxton Eigsti, & Houston Blosser.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson disease 2 years ago. After struggling with numerous falls, & losing his strength to the point of not being able to walk & still wanting to stay busy he kept himself occupied, crocheting things for C.A.M.
Pop & Grandpa will be greatly missed & fondly remembered by his family. He loved people & had a caring heart & was quick to help anyone in need. Be careful & be prayerful was often his quoting part when coming for a visit or having a call on the phone with him. Above all else his wish & desire was to live for his Lord & Savior.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the prayers & sympathy in the loss of our loved one, Our desire is that we would all be drawn closer to our heavenly Father.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Pleasant Valley Amish Mennonite Church at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Pleasant Valley Amish Mennonite School from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
