Stanley Stambaugh Smith or better known as Stan was born on March 31, 1942 in Oak Park, IL and passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the age of 83.
After being born in Oak Park, IL he settled in Florida to complete his schooling.
Stanley was the son of Stanley Graham Smith and Mary Lou Stambaugh Smith.
He was a member of Lions Club, Mason and Shriner.
Survived by: daughter, Jennifer Beckner; son, Shawn Smith; grandchildren Sean Elliott, Ciera Elliott, Kayla Elliott, Shaun Smith and Casey Smith; 4 great grandchildren and brother, Steve Smith of OR.
Stan worked in the insurance field as a life, health and property casualty agent in Brevard County, FL. He became a Master Mason with the Merritt Island Lodge 353 in 1992. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with the Masonic Widow's Sons of Hiram Riders as well as a Potentates escort with the Melbourne Shrine Center.
He retired in 2012 and relocated to Tennessee in 2022.
He will be missed by all who know him. He was always upbeat, cheerful and made friends easily.
