Stephen Gramacy Obituary

Stephen "Stevie" Gramacy was born and raised in Lake Peekskill, NY. Stevie had an adventurous heart. Throughout his life, he called many places home-from California to Florida to South Carolina.
Like his father, Stevie had a passion for working with his hands. From tinkering in the garage to fully
rebuilding motorcycles-if it had an engine, you bet Stevie would be able to fix it up. Though Stevie found his calling as an expert HVAC installer, there was nothing he enjoyed quite as much as riding. His motorcycles and dirt bikes were essentially an extension of his body. He found as much enjoyment riding full throttle through the mountains on his dirt bike as he did take his street bike for a spin on the track or taking a Sunday cruise down the country backroads. Stevie was never more at home than when he was on a bike.
Even when he wasn't riding, Stevie truly loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies were camping, fishing, boating, and hiking. He never shied away from an opportunity to embrace the fresh air-even if it meant making up chores for himself outside around the house. His OCD could not be overlooked.
Although Stevie left this world far too early, his memory lives on through the people he loved: Francine, who he affectionally referred to as "his Frannie," his parents, Stephen and Joann, his sisters, and the many brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends who were lucky enough to have met him.
Stevie was always there for others. It didn't matter if you were his hairdresser or his mom-if you needed him, Stevie was there. You truly couldn't ask for a better friend, brother, son, or spouse.
Stevie was also extremely compassionate, a fact that shined through his love for animals. He especially had a soft spot for senior and hospice dogs, the ones who were often overlooked for adoption. His belief that these animals deserved a second chance at love was a testament to the kindness of his soul.
Anyone who knew Stevie couldn't help but love him. He is now reunited with his beloved pups, Charlie and Sam, as well as family members who passed before him.
Stevie will be missed beyond measure. And he will be loved forevermore.
A visitation will be held at Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Hwy St. Augustine, FL 32084, Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11am. A funeral service will begin at 12pm with burial to follow at Craig Memorial Park, 2600 Old Moultrie Road St. Augustine, FL 32086.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Stephen's memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or to The Grey Muzzle Organization, a nonprofit that focuses on improving the lives of senior dogs, a cause he cared deeply about.
