Stephen Wayne White, age 34, was born on February 22, 1991, and passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Richmond, Texas.
As a young boy, Stephen was full of life and energy. He loved playing football, singing treble in church and school choirs, FFA, and spending time with his friends. Stephen was also able to help serve others through U.M. Army and Best Buddies at Foster High School. His joyful spirit and vibrant personality made him a cherished part of every community he was in.
Stephen's life took an unexpected turn in 2007 when he suffered a traumatic brain injury. Though doctors did not expect him to survive, Stephen defied the odds. Every day since then was a gift, and his family lovingly referred to him as "Stephen 2.0." While many of his memories returned, his likes and dislikes shifted, and he never hesitated to share his thoughts-sometimes even when he shouldn't!
Stephen's greatest joy was becoming "Uncle Ste." He adored his three nieces and looked forward to seeing them -- especially on weekends. He loved performing cannonballs for them and hearing their laughter, which brought him endless happiness. He constantly told people how proud he was of his sister, Suzanne, and how much he loved those girls.
Other favorites of Stephen's included the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Country music, NASCAR, and his home away from home, The Bunker Icehouse in Fulshear.
Stephen's journey was one of courage, transformation, and unwavering love. His story is a testament to resilience and the enduring strength of the God's love.
He is survived by his parents, Calvin and Julianna White and his sister and brother-in- law, Suzanne and Mark Whiteford, and his nieces, Charlotte, Elizabeth, and Madeleine. Stephen is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Alvin and Lora White, Jerry and Kathy White, Wade and October Smith and Trey Terrell as well as cousins, Sydney and Stacey Smith; Alvin White,III and his wife, Jennifer; Michael White and his wife, Angeline; Katherine Holak and her husband Ryan; Alysha White; Jerry White, Jr; Danielle White; Presley White and his friends at The Bunker including Brittany Cherry. Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronnie and Edith Smith; Alvin and Viola White; and his uncle, John White.
A celebration of life just like Stephen would have wanted will be held at The Bunker Icehouse, 8040 FM359, Fulshear on Sunday, August 31st from 1pm-3pm. Family and friends will gather to share stories and beer to honor Stephen's life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lunches of Love in Stephen's memory.
