Stephen Lee Swearengin, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2025 in Rogersville, Missouri, his cherished hometown.

He was born September 21, 1950 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield Missouri to Hubert and Pearl Lee (Morris) Swearengin. He was preceded in death by his son Justin, his father Hubert, his nieces Emily and Callie Bateman, his grandparents, along with many dear family members and friends.

Steve grew up in Rogersville, and was a proud graduate of the Logan-Rogersville High School class of 1968, where he was a talented basketball player and a spirited classmate. He carried his love for his hometown and its people throughout his life.

Steve spent many years working in management at Zenith Corporation, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and employees alike. He was well known for his kindness, leadership, and genuine care for those he worked with.

Following his time at Zenith, Steve pursued entrepreneurship and owned an Asphalt and Landscaping business. He loved his farm and his cows he raised and was known in the community not only for his hard work but also for his integrity and neighborly spirit.

He is survived by his wife Brenda; his step-son, Chris Gullett, his step-grandchildren, Casey and A.J. Gullett; his loving mother Pearl; his sister Cindy Miller; special aunts, Erma Jean Saddler and LaDonna Morris; special cousins, John Saddler and Mike Morris. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will deeply miss his warmth, humor, and generous heart.

No services is planned. Services have been Canceled.

Love ya bud, sorry your mom and sister wanted a private service. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. I couldn't have asked for a better step dad, you done great job of taking care of Mom thank you

Steve was a special super person just like his father Hubert & mother Pearl ,,

Gold you got there before me I´m still here with your mom sister John Jean all of us we have to wait. You´re already beat us up there. We sure miss you Steve, but I am gonna see you again someday soon. I love your family as my own so I see you later Stevie sleep sleep, rest and enjoy in heaven forever. See you later. I wanna hug when I get up there. We miss you already and I haven´t seen you for a while. I´ll try to keep an eye on your mom and Cindy and John and Jean but they have a lot of friends just like you, Steve so I´ll see you when I get up there , God bless you already there many good memories you´ve been at my house before

Steve,
I will forever miss you my sweet friend! You loved to dance and had an infectious smile. We had a lot of fun in the four years of caring for you. Oh and the love you had for your cows who were your pets. I will cherish my great memories of you!
