Steven Lynn Anderson, 67, of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on October 30, 1957, in Bonham, Texas, Steve was the beloved son of the late Bedford and Gladys Anderson and brother to the late Glynna Case.
Steve was a devoted husband to Patricia Anderson, his best friend and the love of his life. He often shared how blessed he was to have Pat by his side and how much joy he found in their life together.
He worked as a farm laborer and took great pride in every task he tackled. He loved driving tractors, tinkering in his shop, building model cars, and working on mechanical projects. He had a special place in his heart for four-wheelers, camping, and the thrill of a good dirt track race.
Steve's greatest joy came from his family. Whether he was watching his grandkids play sports, telling stories on the front porch, or just being present - his love was constant and his devotion unwavering. He was strong, dependable, and always made sure those around him knew they were his priority.
Steve was a faithful member of Cannon Baptist Church, where he found great joy in worship and fellowship. Known for his friendly nature, Steve never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and accepted.
His kindness, work ethic, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He gave without hesitation, loved without condition, and always showed up when it mattered most. Steve's Legacy Lives On In Those Who Knew and Loved Him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Steve was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patricia; daughter, April and her two sons; daughter, Tammy Niemcyzk and husband Mike and their daughter Koen; daughter, Evelyn Gellenbeck and her children Colten,Carley, Coy; daughter, Jessica Anderson and her son Caiden Chandler; son, Steven Anderson and wife Kassidy and their son Conner; son, Shaun Anderson and his daughters Brylee, Layden, and Landry.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cannon Baptist Church 6971 FM 121 Van Alstyne, Texas 75495.
