Steven Blackwood Obituary

Steven Randall Blackwood passed away at the age of 62 on June 22nd, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1962 at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Columbus, OH. He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis, and his father, Charles Blackwood. Steve, the youngest of four brothers, will be remembered by Greg (Pam) Blackwood, Jeff (Janice) Blackwood, and Chuck Blackwood. He was a brother to three step sisters Susan, Julie, and Bonnie, and he was a son to his step mother, Wanda Blackwood. He is survived by Julie Blackwood, his ex-wife, and his daughter, Kassandra (Daniel) Weinerman. Steve had love and affection for his family, but he loved no one more than his daughter. He took great pride in being Kassandra's father, and he was extremely proud of her for all of her successes. Those who knew Steve know he was a man of quick wit and endless jokes. He would even make up his own funny songs. Despite his health conditions, which limited him in many ways, Steve enjoyed years in his favorite spot, the recliner in his living room. There, Steve would enjoy watching the news or one of his favorite shows. If he wasn't watching TV, you could often find Steve on the phone, telling old stories about his family or his time in the Navy. Steve will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family, with whom he shared many happy memories. There will be no calling hours or services due to Steve's own wishes.
