It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Ray Chirch, known affectionately as Steve, who departed this world on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, at the age of 73. Steve was a longtime resident of Schertz, Texas, where he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Born on March 22nd, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve was the beloved son of William and Margaret Chirch. He was proud to have served in the Marine Corps, where he showcased his dedication and service to his country. Afterward, Steve went on to navigate life with great enthusiasm, embodying an adventurous spirit that resonated through his many hobbies and passions.

Steve shared a lifelong partnership with his beloved wife, Patricia Chirch, who stood by him through all of life's journeys. He took great joy in being a stepfather to Ana Rankin, and his warmth radiated through his role as a grandfather to Christopher Rankin, who brought immense joy to his life.

An avid racing car enthusiast, Steve loved attending NASCAR events and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, as sports were a significant part of his life. His skills extended beyond the racetrack; he took pleasure in fixing cars, reflecting his hands-on approach to both life and leisure.

Family was paramount to Steve, and he treasured the moments spent with his siblings, Beth and Mollie. He maintained a close bond with his best friend Rick Reyes, who played an important role in many joyful moments throughout Steve’s life.

Steve’s family includes two beloved pets, Bingo and Duke, who brought him comfort and companionship.

While he will be deeply missed, Steve’s vibrant spirit and enduring legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. We celebrate his life, remembering him not only for his passions but for the love and laughter he shared.
