Waddington: Steven P. Miller, was born on January 14, 1952, in Ogdensburg, NY, to the late Mylas and Sadie (Sypes) Miller. He was a lifelong resident of Waddington and graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School.
Steven worked for many years in the maintenance department at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and friendly nature.
A proud member of the Sons of the American Legion and Oak Ridge Hunting Camp in Harrisville, Steven loved the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, boating, and restoring classic cars. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Miller and his wife Alyssa of Waddington and daughter Danielle Miller and her partner Nicholas Bartwink of Canton; stepchildren Mandy Brown and her companion Jeffrey Matthews of Ogdensburg, and Stephanie Macaulay and her husband Joshua Rogers of Antwerp. He was a proud grandfather to Brent and Bryan Mills, Dylan Gagnon, Zander Webb, Lily Macaulay, Chase Rogers, Jordyn Miller, Madison Hicks and Nina Miller-Bartwink, and a great-grandfather to Alaya Mills.
Steven is also survived by his brother, Michael Miller and his wife Karen of Waddington, and his sister, Barbara Henry and her husband Roger, also of Waddington.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother James Miller, and his beloved wife, Sue Miller.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington with a joint funeral service for Sue and Steven beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Donna Fitchette officiating. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life after the service.
Memorial contributions may be shared to the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center; 5 Lyon PL, Ogdensburg, New York 13669.
