Steven "Scuba" Schutt passed away on June 19, 2025. He was born February 2, 1961 in Miles City, MT to Lloyd and Sandy (Hollowell) Schutt. His family moved several times and settled in Fairmount, ND where Steve graduated from high school in 1980. After graduating, he joined the Army National Guard and served his country for six years. During this time, he worked many side jobs including bee keeping and hauling sugar beets. On January 14, 1989, Steve married Sue Meyer. The couple lived and worked in Wahpeton with their two sons. In 1992, Steve began working for Bobcat in Gwinner, ND and moved his family to Stirum, ND. In 2009, the family moved to Milnor, ND where Steve had been working at Dakota Plains. In 2012, he started working as a security guard at the North Dakota Veterans Home until he was unable to work in 2020. Steve loved sports, especially basketball, football, softball and volleyball. He also liked to cook, bake and sew, but his favorite thing to do was to go camping and fishing with his family. Steve is survived by his wife Sue, Milnor, ND; sons: Charles (Kaitlyn) Schutt, Belle Plaine, MN and Jacob Schutt, Minneapolis, MN; one granddaughter Evelyn Schutt; his mother Sandy Hepner, Forsyth, MT; brothers: Miles Williams, of California, Andy Williams, Fairbanks, AK, Tom Schutt, Brainard, MN and John Williams, WY; sisters: Tina (Robert) Poderzay, Chaska, MN, Carla Schutt, Breckenridge, MN; and several nieces, nephews and many in-laws. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents Eugene and Emma Hollowell, his father Lloyd Schutt, nephew Andrew Labreko and parents-in-law Norbert and Arline Meyer.
