Waddington: Sue E. Miller, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Claxton-Hepburn Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1954, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Bean) Lefever.
Sue graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and worked as a cleaner at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, having worked for New York State for over 30 years, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. She had a big heart and an even bigger laugh. She loved playing bingo and found joy in spending time at the casino. Sue especially treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
She was united in marriage to Steven P. Miller in Clermont, Florida. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Steven; her daughters, Mandy Brown and her companion Jeffrey Matthews of Ogdensburg, and Stephanie Macaulay and husband Joshua Rogers of Antwerp, NY; stepchildren, Andrew Miller of Waddington, NY and Danielle Miller of Canton, NY.
She was a devoted grandmother to Brent and Bryan Mills, Dylan Gagnon, Zander Webb, Lily Macaulay, Chase Rogers, Jordyn Miller, Nina Miller-Bartwink, and great-grandmother to Alaya Mills.
She is also survived by her sisters, Donna and her husband Al Morkis of Lisbon, Patty Bell of Ogdensburg, and Tina and husband Greg Denny of Heuvelton, NY.
Sue was predeceased by her sisters, Cathy Richardson and Paula Bresset and a niece Melissa Bresset
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home in Waddington with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm with Pastor Donna Fitchette officiating. A celebration of Sue's life will take place after the service.
She will be remembered for her spirited personality, love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
