Sue Watts Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilson Funeral Home - Harper Chapel AKA Harper Funeral Home on Sep. 4, 2024.
Sue Ann Watts of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home the fifteenth day of August, in the year two thousand and twenty-four, after spending her last months with her son and grandson.
Sue is survived by son Nicholas Eugene Watts and grandson Grayson Kyle Watts of Sumter, South Carolina; brother Bob Gibson of Canton, Ohio, and sister Molly Falkenstein of Beallsville, Ohio; nieces and nephew: Darcy Jedrey, Carly Figaro, Shelby Bolyard, and Jon Falkenstein; cousins: Doug and Brad Rinderer; many beloved grand-nieces and grand-nephews; one great-nephew; and many other extended relatives.
She is preceded in death by parents Harold William and Mary Louise Gibson of Martins Ferry, Ohio, nephew Kyle Falkenstein, niece Stacie Falkenstein, and sister-in-law Marjorie Gibson.
A 1971 graduate of Martins Ferry High School, Susie enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics for swimming and earned numerous awards over the years. While she faced many physical challenges in her lifetime, Sue handled them all with strength and determination.
Sue's biggest joy was her family and being a Grandma, while her biggest passion was service to the community. She was an active member of the Pasadena Ladies Auxiliary for 13 years, where she supported the fire department and her city. Sue was also a hard-working member of Value Furniture for over 17 years, and enjoyed dedicating herself to everything that she touched.
Sue will be remembered for her loving smile and gift of gab.
Family services will be held in Beallsville, Ohio, with burial at Beallsville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pasadena Ladies Auxiliary in her name.
