Susan A. Knapp Barsavage, age 65 of Elmira, New York, passed peacefully on June 15, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Richard E. Knapp and Jeanne (Hanlon) Knapp who welcomed her into heaven at the side of her younger brother Richard Alan (Ricky) Knapp.
Surviving are her three children Alexander (Jessica Ketchem) Barsavage, Jason (Amanda) Barsavage and Tessa (Austin) Rohde as well as her sister Kim (Knapp) Clute; nephew Jeremy Clute; niece Megan Clute; six grandchildren Hayden, Jalen and Grayson Barsavage, Kasey and Cameron Rohde, Jerimiah Ketchem; stepmother Louise Knapp and stepsister Beth Marczyk.
Susan was employed by Tops for 22 years as a scan coordinator along with many other positions during the years. She was loved by all for her kind heart and funny personality.
Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends hosting cookouts and family holidays. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's softball games, school concerts and baking for the family. Memories to be cherished forever!
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Arnot Medical Center for their exceptional care during her illness.
Family and friends are invited to visit New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 300 E. Miller Street, Elmira, NY 14904, on Monday, July 14th at 4 PM to celebrate Sue's Life. A dinner gathering will be held after the service.
