Sue always displayed a positive attitude despite her health issues and was willing to take my calls to answer questions even at times when she was on her way to or from the doctor´s office. She was always encouraging and used her vast knowledge for the betterment of the department. She will definitely be missed - may she rest in peace.

I will remember when COVID was very active, and she told me I better get myself down to the jails to receive my shot. That I did! I will miss her knowledge about finance and payroll. She was a great friend and Boss.

Always,

Sarah Augustus

Rest in peace, Sue!

I met and worked with Sue at DPSCS in the Division of Financial Services for several years. She was supportive of my career advancement in the Department; she taught me so much and I learnt a lot from her. She was very funny, always excited to talk about her travels, and she was always willing to share her knowledge (boy, was she a wealth of it!) of the Division, Department, processes, systems, etc. I could ask her questions for days and she would take her time to answer all of them.

You will be missed. I am glad to have met you and worked with you.

Sue was such an instrumental part of my career. She took me under her wing as a new accountant and exposed me to the State budget cycle. Her commitment to preserving her life´s work even after she retired and the foundation she laid helped me to excel. Her support was a significant reason I was able to succeed as CFO. Now that I have left DPSCS, the lessons she taught continue to help me. She has left an indelible impact and her legacy continues to remain. She will be missed.
