Ruby Doris Hensley Ayers

1932 - 2023

Ruby Doris Hensley Ayers, age 90, of Marion went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 7, 2023, at her home.
Ruby was born November 22, 1932, in McDowell County to the late Carl and Olive Mae Hensley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Ayers and her son, Johnny Ayers.
Ruby was a member of West Court Baptist Church and retired from Baxter Healthcare. She loved to cook and sew. She made beautiful quilts! Ruby especially loved her family and spent most of her retirement basking in the joys of having her grandsons around her.
Those left behind to cherish Ruby's memory are two children, Rickey Ayers (Lisa) and Robin Ayers all of Marion; four grandsons, Brandon Ayers, Justin Blankenship (Hannah), Jonathan Jones (Brenda), and Russell Jones, III; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerry Hensley and Garry Hensley (Anne) all of California.
A private graveside service will be held at West Court Baptist Church Cemetery.
