Funeral services for Susan Yvonne Tarver, age 65, of Pittsburg, Texas will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with David Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette Cemetery with Kevin Clifton, Krystal Clifton, JJ Tarver, Jody Tarver Jr., Kevin Clifton Jr., Rodney Mabrey, Austin Tarver Jr., and Eric Flores serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Christopher Tarver, Raymond Joe Mynar Jr., Branson Tarver, Austin Tarver Sr., Melinda Tarver, Warin Flores and Mike Mynar. Ms. Tarver passed away at her residence in Lafayette, Texas on February 2, 2025.
Susan Yvonne Tarver was born in Houston, Texas on July 13, 1959, to Raymond Joe Mynar Sr. and Myrna Loy Kent. She married her beloved husband, Austin Andrew Tarver Sr. on November 15, 1975.
Susan is survived by her son; Austin “Bubba” Tarver Jr. of Pittsburg, TX., her daughter, Krissy Clifton (Kevin) of Jefferson, TX., her son, JJ Tarver (Moe) of Pittsburg, TX., her beautiful grandchildren; Adrianna Clifton, Chasity Mabrey (Rodney), Kevin Clifton Jr. (Caelee), Jody J. Tarver Jr. (Danielle), Christopher, Alexis, Bryce, Branson, Brystal, Brilee, Christina (Cody), her amazing, strong and bright great-grandchildren; Xander, Devan, Zaiden, Charolette, Juliette, Logan, Weston, Kasen, Kingston, Kevin, Candin, Dylon, and many other special babies that called her Me-maw. She is also survived by her sisters; Terrie Lucas, Karen Clower, Carolyn Lapole, Shirley Goodlet, and Lola Jester, her brothers; Mike Mynar (Leah), and Raymond Joe Mynar (Pam) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members. All of them were very special to her and a very special “Thank You” goes to her niece, Melissa Sanchez for everything she has done for the family.
Susan was preceded in death by her amazing husband, Austin Andrew Tarver Sr. (PawPaw). PawPaw passed away March 16, 2021. They would have been married 50 years this year, what a celebration they will have in Heaven this year together.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Joe Mynar Sr., Robert and Myrna Reese, her nephew, Christopher Fowler, her niece, Myrna Jones, and many close friends that were more like brothers and sisters.
Memaw enjoyed visiting with family. She loved us all even at our worst. She loved to collect frogs and anything else she wanted to collect. We will always cherish her memory and keep it alive.
