In Memory of Susan Taylor 1949 ~ 2025 Susan passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 14,2025 at home in Tehachapi, Ca. Private services were held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, in Arvin. Susan was born in Lancaster, Ca., to parents Charles and Florice Pierce. She grew up in this area and attended AV High School. After graduating high school, she went on to Lancaster Beauty School and received her license. February 20,1968, she married Jim Taylor love of her life. Susan and Jim continued to live in the Antelope Valley area. They welcomed Michelle in December of 1971. She worked two jobs, one at Nonda's Clothing on Lancaster Blvd., as well as for Ted Eliopoulos land company doing clerical work. Susan also assisted in Jim's drywall business handling payroll and books. Susan always took part in the PTA, attending and helping at school functions throughout Michelle's schooling. Jim and Susan traveled often, especially enjoying Carmel, and Big Bear. Susan especially enjoyed every basketball game for Michelle. She loved attending Jim's band performances. Her five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren were the light of her life, spending time with them was a joy for her. Susan loved presenting herself to family and friends and even strangers in the best light, doing her hair, makeup, clothing, and jewelry to the T every day. always trying something new. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Jim of 56 years. Her adoring daughter Michelle, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and many friends. Susan will be cherished and remembered always as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
