I am so sorry to learn of Susanna's passing. I first met her when I was a new Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming and her friendship was a great boon to me while there. A very fond memory was when she introduced me to the concept of how to host a yard sale when she said, "You put insane prices on things you possess but that you no longer want and people come to your home and take them away!" She subsequently spent part of a sabbatical at my home in Houston while she made use of the library at Rice University. She will be very much missed.

Throughout school she was always a kind and gentle person. Often times she was very funny in her quirky way. I´m proud to have known her.

Suzannah was one of those people who found everyone interesting and beautiful. There just aren´t that many people who were like her within this world today. However, the seeds of curiosity about experience and its perception is not easily forgotten. She was a lovely soul. And I will never forget her. And perhaps her gifts will live on within each of us. Condolences to those closest to her and those who helped her pass through the difficult days she lived before her pain was over. God´s peace be with during the moments as you say goodbye.
