Susie Smith, 81, of English, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY with her family by her side.
She was born on October 10, 1943, in Grantsburg, IN to Lester and Goldia (Reasor) Goldman.
Susie was a baptized believer of Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the English Christian Church/Hillview Christian Church. Susie loved the outdoors which included squirrel hunting in her younger years, golfing, fishing and gardening. She was known as a loving wife, mother, Mamaw and sister who worked hard and rarely ever sat idle.
Susie married her one true love and husband of 52 years Terry Lee Smith, who preceded her in death. Susie also was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Winefred Pavey.
She is survived by her sons, Tim (Tara) Smith of Warrenville, SC, Larry (Eva) Smith of English, IN and Marty (JungHwa) Smith of Orlando, FL.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lindsay (Corey) Andry of Tell City, IN, Matthew Devin Smith of English, IN, Ethan (Taylor) Smith of English, IN, Erika Smith of Orlando, FL, Dana Cheree Smith (Tristan) of Ferdinand, IN, seven great grandchildren and a brother, Gordon Goldman of Grantsburg, IN, a sister in law, Susan Brown of English, IN.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 10 AM until the service at 1 PM. Corey Andry officiating. A private family burial will follow at English Cemetery in English, IN.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hillview Christian Church.
