Suzanne Bozzi Obituary

Suzanne Bozzi (née Simon), 78, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 3, 2025, after a sudden illness.
She was born on December 27, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and had been a lifelong resident of Vermilion.
Suzanne dedicated over five decades to her career as an x-ray technician, working in various urgent care centers, hospitals, and with mobile x-ray services. She retired in 2017 after 52 years of compassionate and skilled service.
A faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Vermilion, Suzanne was also active in the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She found joy in crocheting and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Rich) Piskur of Vermilion, Mary Asunta (Brad) Cunningham of Vermilion, and Tina (Frank) Workman of Union, KY; her beloved grandchildren, Valerie (Chad) Martin, Violet Piskur, Torie Piskur, Austin Bozzi, Merisa Workman, and Kai Workman; and great-grandchildren, Addison and Jaxon Martin. She also leaves behind her brother, John Simon of Elyria and several nieces,nephews, and close friends.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard Patrick Bozzi in 2021; her parents, Bernard and Mary (née Alkire) Simon; sisters, Margie (Darrell) Neiding and Virginia (Bob) Riggsby; her sister-in-law, Gloria Jeanne Simon; and brother-in-laws, Bob Williams and Bob Bozzi.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a prayer service at 11:00 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
