Suzanne Giordano

"Loving mother, grandmother & great-grandmother"

Suzanne (Jannetty) Giordano, 91, formerly of Prospect, entered into the gates of Heaven of Thursday, July 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Joseph W. Giordano for 41 years who died on September 16, 2024.

Suzanne was born on August 12, 1933 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Stango) Jannetty. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School Class of 1951. She grew up in Waterbury and lived most of her life in Prospect. She worked as a secretary and office manager for Lewis Mill Work in Waterbury for many years until her retirement. She and her husband Joe enjoyed country dancing but her greatest joy was her grandson and great grandchildren who she loved and adored.

Suzanne leaves to honor and cherish her memory; a son, John Santopietro and his wife Diane of Wolcott; three step-daughters, Lisa Giordano of Jacksonville, FL, Lori Krol and her husband Michael of Williamstown, NJ, and Carrin McPhillips and her husband Jimmy of Mays Landing, NJ; a grandson, John Santopietro, Jr. and his wife Jennifer and their children, Dominic and Matthew Santopietro all of Thomaston, four step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Anthony Giordano and his wife Ivana of Bethel, and two sisters-in-law, Antoinette LaRosa of Vero Beach, FL and Dorothy Lloyd and her husband James of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John Jannetty and a brother-in-law, Joseph LaRosa.

Arrangements: A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Calvary Cemetery 2324 East Main Street Waterbury, CT. Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury has been entrusted with Suzanne's services.
