Sylvester Scott, 74, of Peoria passed away October 29, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born to Hubert Scott and Estella Smith on July 19, 1951 in Peoria, IL.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He had a smile that would light up any room. He loved to listen to music and cook for his mom's family and spending time with them.
Sylvester is survived by his 5 sisters and 4 brothers, six daughters-Kaija Shorty of Bloomington, IL; LaTicia (Greg) Johnson, and Yolonda Wyatt of Peoria,IL; Kenya (Karlton) Stacey, of Centralia, IL and Patience Webster. He has 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his parents. One brother, Marshall Scott, and his youngest daughter Kelsey Simpson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
