Sylvia Sweigart Obituary

Sylvia F. Sweigart, 87, of Reamstown, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital- Penn Medicine.
She was born in Durbin, WV to the late Benjamin and Beulah (May) Moore and was the wife of the late Roger P. Sweigart Sr., who passed away in 2014.
Sylvia was a member of Middle Creek Church. During her working years, along with her husband, was the owner/operator of Sweigart Steak Shop and Restaurant, Ephata. She most recently had been the assistant manager at the Dutchette, at Shade Maple. She enjoyed crocheting and donating prayer shawls and doing word searches.
She is survived by a son, Roger, husband of Cindy Sweigart; a daughter, Julie, wife of Doran Getz; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, George H. Moore, Donald R. Moore and a sister, Esther M. Snodderly.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by nine siblings, Benjamin J. Moore, Mary Kathryn Moore, Melvin Moore, Neal Moore, Helen Moore, Dale Moore, Glen Moore, Ralph Moore and Roland Moore.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 10 to 11 am, Middle Creek Church, 351 Middle Creek Church Rd., Lititz, followed by a memorial service at 11 am. With Pastor Eric Brubaker officiating. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family
