Obituary of Tamara Lynn Alves
Tammy Alves passed away suddenly on June 23, 2025, leaving a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Born on November 6, 1972, in Johnson City, New York, Tammy was the beloved daughter of the late William and Bonita (Wallace) Tomecek.
Tammy is survived by her devoted husband, John, and their two cherished sons, Julien and Jake - the absolute lights of her life. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Sabra Martocci, and brother-in-law, Michael, along with her adored nieces and nephews: Griffin, Gradyn, Adrianna, and Marco, who brought her so much joy and pride.
Tammy made her home in Peekskill, New York, where she worked remotely as a Channel Account Manager for Meridio Insurance. But anyone who knew Tammy knows that her true calling - her passion - was helping others as a transformational life and health coach through her work with Optavia. She had a special gift for lifting others up and inspiring change with her warmth, honesty, and boundless energy.
Deeply involved in her community, Tammy gave freely of her time and heart to support the activities that meant the most to her boys. She served on the board of the St. Augustine CYO program, the St. Augustine Home and School Association, and most recently gave her time and love as Team Parent for both the Kennedy Catholic Football and Lacrosse teams.
Tammy was the best of the best. She had a rare ability to light up every room she entered. Her laughter was contagious, her presence unforgettable, and her spirit endlessly generous. She made everything more fun - more meaningful - just by being there. And while she wore many hats in her life, the role she cherished most was being a mom. Julien and Jake were her everything, and she was fiercely proud of them every single day.
To know Tammy was to love her - and to laugh with her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the reminder to always live life with joy and purpose.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always celebrated.
Tammy's Family will be receiving visitors at Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Ossining on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11 am.
A scholarship fund will be set up in Tammy's name. Details will be posted on social media at a later date.

Tammy was such a sweet heart. We shared the same exact birthday day, and year. We met back in the 80s at Pillar Polkabration , her and her family became very close friends with my family. Even knowing we haven't seen each other in yrs. We would still wish each other a happy birthday . My heart goes out to her husband and her boys.

O Lord, we ask you, on behalf of the soul of your servant whom you have called out of this world; look upon Tammy with live and let her be conducted by the holy angels to paradise, her true country. Grant that she who believed in you and hoped in you, may be admitted to eternal joys. Through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, Who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns world without end. Amen.

Working with Tammy remotely never felt remote. Her light and laughter exuded through the screen showing her larger than life personality. She was thoughtful, kind, and always knew how to make you laugh.
If I ever felt like I told and off color or too sarcastic joke I knew she would be right there to back me up.
Recently we connected a lot about our boys, being not moms and sports enthusiasts it´s something we lived for as moms. While everyone goes on vacations we visit sports fields, prep team parties and banquets.
Her advice on meals to keep my growing 14 fed were great! Haha
Work won´t be the same without her.
