Tami Koll, 53, resident of Fridley, passed away on June 11, 2025 at her home. She was born April 1, 1972 to loving parents John & Lavina Giinther. Tami grew up in South Minneapolis, attended Salem English Lutheran Church and Southwest High School, class of 1990. Tami received a bachelor's degree from Augsberg University in Minneaoplis, MN.
Tami and Ray were married at Salem English Lutheran church on January 3, 2004. They shared 21 happy and beautiful years together. They enjoyed visiting the cabin to ride ATVs, boating, and observing nature and wildlife that surrounded them. They were active with biking on their tandem bike, camping, kayaking at local lakes and traveling the United States and abroad.
Tami had many careers; she worked in the medical and education fields. She worked as a nursing assistant, medical coder, medical records clerk, and medical receptionist. Tami was passionate about teaching children. She was a skilled special education assistant in urban public schools and a caring daycare teacher.
Tami kept busy with many hobbies such as stamped cross stitch, reading daily devotional books, meditation and Bible passages, worked puzzles, swimming, outdoor activities, and family vacations. Tami was especially grateful for her husband who strove to make sure her final days were amazing by fulfilling her bucket list of experiences.
Tami is survived by her loving husband Ray; kind mother Lavina; sister Melanie (John) Mueller; brothers Matt & Terry; brother-in-law Eric (Robin); sister-in-law Liz (Jon) Schraer; nieces Rejene, Alyssa, & Sarah; nephews Pat, Daniel, Nick & Orion; aunts Verlaine & Helen; uncles Leland, Larry & Robert; many cousins who shared her cheerful spirit. She was preceded in death by her father John.
Special thanks to Melanie (sister) & Nora (best friend) for the compassion and kindness given to Tami.
Funeral Service to celebrate Tami's life will be Friday, June 27th, 11 AM with a visitation 1 hour before at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive NE, Mounds View. Interment Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church or the Humane Society.
