Tammy M. Champagne
"Loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt & friend"
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Tammy M. Champagne of Burton, VT, formerly of Waterbury, CT on May 7, 2025, as the result of a tragic accident.
Tammy was born on December 6, 1977 in Waterbury, CT daughter of Michael A. Champagne Sr. and the late Claudia M. Hardwick. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University.
Tammy was the devoted and loving mother of five children, all of whom were the center of her world. This fall, Tammy was joyfully anticipating a new chapter: becoming a grandmother. She spoke of it often, her heart full of excitement and love for the grandchild she looked forward to meeting. Her boundless love, unwavering support, and infectious spirit shaped a home full of laughter, learning, and adventure. She poured her heart into motherhood and never missed an opportunity to create lasting memories for her children, nieces, and nephews-whether it was through a simple science experiment, a hike in the woods, or a sunny day at the lake.
Born with a heart of gold, she lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and service to others. She would give the last of what she had without hesitation and never failed to show up for anyone in need. Her door was always open, her arms always welcoming.
Tammy loved the outdoors and found peace among the trees and lakesides, especially during family vacations to Rangeley, ME. She had a deep affection for farm animals and took joy in sharing her love of nature and life's small wonders with the young ones around her. Her energy, warmth, and ability to make any day feel like a cherished childhood memory will be remembered by all who knew her.
Tammy will be forever missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Besides her father Michael, Tammy leaves to honor and cherish her memory her five children Christopher, Claudia, Olivia, Michael and Dante; her sister Jayme Champagne (Anthony) of Barton, VT, her nieces and nephews Joseph, Matthew, Jaelynn, Aiden, Madison, Nevaeh, John, Zach, Jordan, Jason and Mickala; her partner Paul Byron of Naugatuck and his son Parker; extended family Michelle Cintron (Eduardo Bosques) and their children Marlina and Eduardo Jr., Jessica Vieira (Thomas Matthews) and their son Noah, and Lola Conran. She was predeceased by her brother Michael A. Champagne Jr.
