Tammy Jo Driver passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2025 in the presence of her beloved family. She was 60 years old.
Born in Columbus, Indiana on August 7, 1964, Tammy was the daughter of Russell and Wanda (England) Coy. She was a graduate of Liberty Christian Academy and was employed at Best Buy in Columbus, Indiana. Tammy married her longtime companion, William "Bill" Driver Sr. on May 30, 2014.
Known for her big heart, Tammy was called "Mama Bear" by many and created a large family through love and friendship. She was also a wonderful cook, who always had room for everyone around her table. In her spare time, Tammy enjoyed reading Stephen King novels and watching old movies, especially those starring Bette Davis.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Bill Driver; children, "Bill-Bill" Watkins, Andy (Kimberly) Watkins, Shawn (Amanda) Watkins, Wendy (Adam) Warner, Jimmy (Sarah) Harper, Aaron Watkins, Dusti (Jamie) Black, and Carrie Watkins; many cherished grandchildren; her father, Russell (Charlotte) Coy; brother, Kenny (Cindy) Coy; sister, Robin (Steve) Heinecke; and several nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Coy; sister, Kimberly Sneed; and cousin Mark Lynn Fields.
In keeping with Tammy's wishes, cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Private inurnment will take place at the Garland Brook Cemetery. In memory of Tammy, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Animal Care Services, 2730 Arnold Street, Columbus, Indiana 47203 or cards are available at the funeral home.
