Tammy Lynn (Leslie) Moody, a beloved member of the Auburn community, was born on February 8, 1963, in Auburn, Nebraska. She passed away on February 14, 2026, at her home, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and commitment to family and community.

Tammy dedicated 31 years of her life working at Good Samaritan Society in Auburn before her retirement. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession, as she lovingly took care of her parents in their later years. Additionally, she contributed her efforts alongside her husband, Steve, working diligently on the family farm. After her retirement she and Steve enjoyed traveling the world.

A devoted family woman, Tammy found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Many cherished memories were created during family outings, such as swimming and mushroom hunting, activities that showcased her playful spirit and deep bond with her family. Beyond her devotion to family, Tammy also enjoyed indulging in the thrill of gambling, adding a bit of fun to her life.

Tammy’s education began at Auburn Public Schools, where she laid the foundation for her future. She faced life's challenges with remarkable courage, particularly when she was diagnosed with cancer. Throughout her battle, she demonstrated an admirable strength that inspired those around her.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughters Cheryl (Jeremy) Doty and Michelle (Matt) Snyder; and her beloved grandchildren Calvin Antholz, Cameron Leslie, Brendan and Grace Snyder. She is also survived by her brother Mark (Paula) Leslie; sisters-in-law Linda Walther and Donna (Steve) Rademacher; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends who cherished her presence in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Betty Leslie; her brothers Steve and Jack Leslie; and her sisters Deborah Soldano and Betty "Sis" Castillo. Their love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew Tammy.

Visitation will be held at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, Nebraska, on February 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the same location on February 21, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to the American Legion Post #23 following the committal service for refreshments and a time to share memories.  

Tammy Lynn (Leslie) Moody will be remembered not only for her unwavering love for her family and community but also for the joy she brought into the lives of those she touched. She leaves behind a rich legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift her loved ones.
