In Loving Memory of Taylor Douglas Rhodes
December 23, 1992 – June 21, 2025
Taylor Douglas Rhodes, age 32, of Caldwell, Idaho-formerly of Grangeville-passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Portland, Oregon.
Born in Moscow, Idaho on December 23, 1992, to Kim Eimers and Doug Rhodes, Taylor came into this world with a spirit full of adventure, boundless energy, and a heart open to everyone he met. He never knew a stranger. His warmth, humor, and loyalty left lasting impressions on everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
Taylor was an outstanding athlete-gifted on the basketball court, football field, and baseball diamond. But even more than his natural talent, it was his team spirit and determination that defined him. He loved the outdoors with a passion-hunting, fishing, and exploring Idaho's wild beauty brought him true joy.
Life wasn't always easy for Taylor, but through every hardship, he held tightly to his faith and his fierce love for family and friends. He was compassionate, generous, and always the first to lend a hand or crack a joke. His favorite song was "I Believe I Can Fly", and now, he is truly free to soar.
Taylor is survived by his loving mother Kim Eimers (Dave), father Doug Rhodes (Jeanette), sister Ashlee Rhodes (Dayne), and his cherished niece Skylar. He is also survived by his grandparents Janice Eimers and Betty Hitt (Jim), uncles Tabb Kennedy and Kevin Eimers (Carolyn); aunts Carol Eimers (Wayne) and Michelle Eimers (Ron); cousins Jake Eimers (Hannah), Heidi Eimers, Jake Kennedy, and Kayla Gibson; and his best friend and chosen brother, Josh Galeai (Renae).
A private family graveside service will be held on July 12th, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. at the Grangeville Country Club. All who knew and loved Taylor are welcome to come share memories and honor his life. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Send condolences to the family at blackmerfuneralhome.com.
