Ted Johnnie Privette Jr., 73, of Waynesville, North Carolina, passed away on July 4, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1952, to the late Ted Privette Sr. and Grace Privette.
He was a devoted family man whose memory will live on through those he cherished.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Privette, and his stepson, Joe Huff, of Waynesville. He is also survived by his brothers: Randy Privette of Carthage, NC, Allen Privette of Orville, NC, Kelly Privette of Hamlet, NC, and Kevin Privette of Greenville, NC. His sisters-Gloria Jordan of Hamlet, NC, Sandra Privette of Carthage, NC, Janet Lynch of Hamlet, NC, and Shelia Boyd of Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, he is remembered as a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, survived by two grandchildren, Heather Clontz and Jack Banks, and three great-grandchildren Alexis, Grace, and Emilee Clontz.
A service will be held at a later date in Monroe, NC.
