Ted Sills 67, of Eatonton crossed his final finish line on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Ted was born in Atlanta, GA on August 4, 1957 to Roland Sills and Joyce Hobbs. Ted lived life in the fast lane – both racing literally and figuratively. A true racing enthusiast. Ted had a need for speed that never faded. Whether it was tearing down the drag strip or just cruising, his heart belonged to cars and racing. He wasn't just a fan he lived and breather the adrenaline, the engines and the freedom at the open road. Beyond the roar of the engines nothing made him prouder than being surrounded by those he loved. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends – sharing laughs, telling stories and building a legacy of love, loyalty and horse power.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 3 to 5 pm followed by a service at 5 pm.
Ted is survived by his wife Kim Sills, children Miles (Minda), Nicholas (Sami), Theo (Ester), and Alexander, grandchildren Miley, Hunter, Natalie, Ripley and Rory, brothers Sheriff Howard Sills (Janet), Carter Sills and sister Beth Bridges.
Memorial donations can be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, 111 N. 33 Street, NY, NY 10001 in memory of Ted.
