Ted Preston Smith, age 73 of Jamestown, TN, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.

He was born November 10, 1951 in Jamestown, TN to Evert Smith and Mary Jane (Hoffman) Smith. He was a farmer of many things (cattle, chickens, hogs, hay, and tobacco).

Ted was survived by his Wife: Gladys (Reeves) Smith; (2) Daughters: Lisa Hinds (Rod), Teresa Smith (Rocky); (3) Grandchildren: Blake French (Fianc'e Maleigha), Paige Smith (Conner Duvall), Balea Cooper (Blake); (2) Great-Grandchildren: Benton French, Sayla Duvall; (2) Sisters: Ester Conatser (Dan), June Crabtree; (4) Brothers: John Henry Smith (Betty), David Smith (Loretta), Carl Dan Smith (Donna), Claude Smith; Also survived by special nieces and nephews: Sandra Linder, Linda Linder, Porter Linder. Also survived by other family members and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Evert and Mary Jane Smith; (1) Brother: Eddie Smith (Patricia); (1) Infant Brother died at birth.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. from the Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene. Bro. Daniel Masiongale and Bro. Lawrence Blevins officiated. The burial was in Ted Smith Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Blake French, Blake Cooper, Steven Smith, Jordan Smith, Fuzzy Smith, Will Smith, Jacob Day and Jered Winningham.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Benton French, Rocky Smith, Connor Duvall, Jack Linder, Fred Stout, John Henry Smith, Brian Giles, Robin Giles and Will Dickson.

Family will receive friends Monday, August 18, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene.
