Born on December 17, 1955, in Cookeville, Tereasa dedicated her life to serving her community and cherishing her family. She retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service in the Admissions Department at Tennessee Tech, leaving a legacy of kindness and commitment to education.
A proud graduate of Cookeville High School, Tereasa thrived on nurturing her family and supporting those around her. She was passionate about gardening and loved taking care of her flowers, finding solace in nature’s beauty. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her four cherished grandchildren, Bailey Nash, Mason Nash, Logan Croom, and Elias White, who brought immense happiness to her life.
Tereasa was also very close to her daughters, Beth Nash of Sparta, Rachael Croom of Prattville, Alabama, and Ashley Herron of Baxter, who will carry forward her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by her sister, Chris Burton of Baxter, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She will be reunited with her loved ones who have passed, including her husband, Steven "Mugs" Herron, who predeceased her on November 29, 2014, her parents Ronald and Una Aline Dunn Gantt, her brother Darrell Lynn Gantt, and her beloved grandson Kaden Herron.
Tereasa attended Holladay Church of Christ, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to her community. Her spirit, warmth, and generous heart touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed.
