Terry Benard Brown was born on April 15, 1962, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Melvin and Alice Brown. After completing high school, Terry made the honorable decision to serve his country by joining the United States Army.
Following his Army service, Terry moved to Texas, where fate introduced him to Ida Eagans while she was walking her dog. He made a comment, she ignored him-and the rest was history. They were married on April 29, 1993, and shared over 32 wonderful years together.
Terry was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, cooking, shooting pool, and cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers-win or lose. He also had a green thumb and found joy in simple things, like long grocery trips.
Terry was peacefully granted his wings on July 8, 2025. While his passing leaves a deep sense of loss, his loved ones rejoice in his homegoing and the lasting memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Ida Eagans-Brown; his two daughters, Teniqua Eagans and Andrea Nickerson (Derrick); his sister, Yvette Brown; his two brothers, Donald Dismuke and Ronald Dismuke; his two nieces, Monique Brown and Sonique Brown; his two nephews, Roy Brown and Ismael Brown; and his beloved granddaughter, Kayla, who treasured the countless hours spent with her granddad. Terry leaves behind a host family and friends.
Terry's love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in all who knew him.
Terry, your life continues in the presence of the Lord.
