Terry McBride Obituary

Terry Lynn McBride, also known as "Goat," passed away on June 30, 2025, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, at the age of 63. Born on April 7, 1962, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Terry lived a life full of hard work, adventure, and deep love for his family and friends.
From a young age, Terry worked in construction and quickly became a true jack of all trades. He had a gift for fixing, building, and operating just about anything. If it had wheels or an engine, Terry was at home with it-riding motorcycles, racing cars, and even flying planes. He also had a competitive streak, often found around a pool table, cue in hand, always ready for the next game.
Terry was a people person through and through. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His presence was larger than life-and his heart was even bigger.
Terry leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Kimberly (Branson) McBride of Guthrie, Oklahoma. From their teenage years to a lifelong journey together, their bond was built on deep devotion, shared laughter, and unwavering love. Kimberly was his greatest pride, his best friend, and the center of his world.
He is also survived by their three sons, who were the light of his life: Jason McBride and his wife Morgan, of Edmond, Oklahoma, along with their children-Kaleigh, Jameson, Elijah, and Charlotte; Justin McBride and his wife Stella, of Coyle, Oklahoma, and their children-Jace and Emma; and Jordan McBride and his wife Mechelle, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and their daughter Bella.
Terry is also survived by his brother, Larry McBride of Cincinnati, Ohio, and his sister, Cheryl (McBride) Roach of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles McBride and Ruby Christine (Stagg), as well as his brother, David McBride.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home located at 220 North 1st Street Guthrie, OK.
A celebration of Terry's life will be on Monday, July 7, 2025, 10:00 AM at Community Church in Guthrie, followed by a graveside service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Terry lived big, loved fiercely, and left behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and unforgettable stories. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
